Quotable Quotes: WTA Stars In Linz
Ana Ivanovic

LINZ, Austria - Grand Slam goals, title dreams and the season's conclusion were just a few of the topics Ana Ivanovic, Sloane Stephens and Kirsten Flipkens spoke about while in Linz...

Ana Ivanovic
On Novak Djokovic...
"He's a great friend of mine. It's so good to see him do so well. It's always nice to catch up and hear what he has to tell me. Occasionally we have more time to talk deeper about tennis. But most of the time, it's just catching up at tournaments, passing by, a little bit of laughter."

On tennis in Serbia...
"It is a big sport. Everyone plays it. They show lots of tennis on TV. It's great to see lots of young kids playing tennis and they compare themselves to us, which is always very flattering."

On her recent performance...
"It's about confidence. I've been getting more consistent. It's just beating top players again. I always get to that stage, playing against the Top 10, and I've also been quite unfortunate in draws. I always have a tough opponent in the third and fourth rounds of Grand Slams. It's just a matter of believing I can beat those players."

On winning more Grand Slams...
"That's my goal. That's why I'm still around. Because I still have big dreams. As much as I've been around for a long time, I'm still very young. I do hope I can still achieve that."

Sloane Stephens
On meeting expectations...
"There is pressure obviously and people will always expect you to move at their pace, but everything happens with time, so you just have to let it happen."

On trying to win her first title...
"Everyone asked me if I'd rather have done so well in Grand Slams this year or win a title. For me, I would have rather done so well in the Grand Slams. I'm still working on the title, but I know eventually it will come. Just going to keep working. When it does come, everyone will be relieved."

On her rankings ascension...
"I was excited when I moved from 13 to 12. Just trying to take it slow and keep working on my game and improving. Obviously there's a long ways to go, but I'm excited to keep going."

Kirsten Flipkens
On the winding down of the season...
"I'm counting down the days to the end of the season. I need some rest physically and mentally. I'm hanging in there and trying to do my best. I just hope to finish in the Top 20 for this year. My goal for next season is to stay in that Top 20. It's one thing to get there but it's a second thing to stay there. Of course, I'll work 200% to be ready for the 2014 season, but whatever happens, happens."
