Stats Corner: Twins Make History In Linz
Kristyna Pliskova, Karolina Pliskova

LINZ, Austria - Karolina Pliskova and Kristyna Pliskova - sisters, twins and doubles partners - went all the way to the title at the Generali Ladies Linz over the weekend. It was their first WTA doubles title together and made them the ninth pair of sisters ever to capture a WTA doubles title together.

The Pliskovas are also the first pair of twins ever to win a WTA doubles title together.

"It's a great feeling for both of us," Karolina Pliskova said. "We played well from the start today."

"I think my sister played better than I did today, but I was playing better in our other matches!" Kristyna Pliskova joked. "But we were quite aggressive today - our serves were big and we played very well at the net - and that was the key. It's our first WTA title together and we're really happy about it.

"It's amazing to play with your sister. It's much better than playing with someone else!"
