Quotable Quotes: Caro & Sloane
Caroline Wozniacki

LUXEMBOURG, Luxembourg - Caroline Wozniacki and Sloane Stephens, the Top 2 seeds at the BGL BNP Paribas Luxembourg Open and alternate hopefuls for the TEB BNP Paribas WTA Championships - Istanbul, met the press on Monday afternoon. Here they are in their own words...

Caroline Wozniacki
On her season so far...

"It's been a very good learning experience for me, and hopefully I can use that experience next year. What fits my game, what suits me - I'll learn from it all and it's just about moving on from there."

On Serena Williams...
"Serena is an amazing player. When she's at her best, I think she's just that extra level ahead of us. She's so strong and so experienced, and she has the determination. She's an unbelievable champion. You can see how many Grand Slams she's won, and you don't do that by accident. It's really amazing what she's achieved and she's a great person as well. I really respect her for everything she's done."

On what it was like to be No.1...
"For me it was a dream come true. It was something I was always dreaming of and something I always wanted, so to get there at such a young age was amazing for me. But obviously you become a target and everyone wants to beat you. That's why so few people are No.1 for a long time. It becomes harder and harder. For me to finish No.1 two years in a row was amazing and something I'm very proud of."

On getting back to the Top 5...
"I just need to keep playing the way I do and hopefully next year will be a great year for me."

On her first round opponent in Luxembourg, Mandy Minella...
"Obviously it's going to be tough - I'm sure the crowd will be behind her, but hopefully I'll have a few fans myself. Hopefully it'll be a full stadium. I hope we have a good match. I don't know her that well, I don't think I've ever played her, but I need to focus on myself and what I need to do out there."

Sloane Stephens
On Luxembourg...

"I didn't know much about the tournament before coming here, but so far it's been great, and obviously the mall across from the hotel is really nice, and the movie theater and the golf, so I've enjoyed it here very much so far. For the first time being here, it's been a really good experience so far."

On whether she likes playing golf...
"I don't really play golf. I like to ride around in the cart at the golf course. I like go-kart racing and bowling though, just random 20-year-old things. Just something to do when you're bored. It's fun."

On her goal this week...
"To do my best. It's one of the last tournaments of the year, so just try to go out with a bang."

On five-time Luxembourg champion Kim Clijsters...
"Kim's one of my favorite players. I just loved watching her play over the years. And she's probably one of the nicest people I've met in my entire life - she sends me nice messages and always says nice things to me. She's always been very kind to me, so she's definitely one of my favorite people."
