Evert Charity Event: This Weekend

A slew of celebrities and current and former tennis stars will help Chris Evert raise money for charity at this year's Chris Evert/Raymond James Pro-Celebrity Tennis Classic. Go there this weekend!

BOCA RATON, FL, USA - The 2013 Chris Evert/Raymond James Pro-Celebrity Tennis Classic is this weekend, assisting Evert in her annual fundraiser to prevent drug abuse and child neglect.

The 24th annual event is three days - Friday has a Tennis Pro-Am and Classic Cocktail Reception, Saturday Pro-Celebrity Tennis and a Charity Gala, and Sunday Pro-Celebrity Tennis.

Many notable names are at this year's event, including a slew of celebrities - Jon Lovitz, Elisabeth Shue, Alan Thicke, Gavin Rossdale, David Cook, Scott Foley, Kevin McKidd and Maeve Quinlan.

A number of current and former tennis players are joining Evert at the Chris Evert/Raymond James Pro-Celebrity Tennis Classic as well, including Martina Navratilova, Pam Shriver, Brad Gilbert, Patrick McEnroe, Lisa Raymond, Rennae Stubbs, Brenda Schultz-McCarthy, Jesse Levine and Vince Spadea.

In its 24 years the event has raised more than $20.6 million for charity, including $600,000 in 2012. Chris Evert Charities partners with the Ounce Of Prevention Fund Of Florida, which is a public-private partnership blending state and private dollars and investing them in innovative, community-based programs that give Florida children a chance to live free from the ravages of drug abuse and neglect.
