INDIAN WELLS, CA, USA - The BNP Paribas Open is the most attended tennis event in the world outside of the Grand Slams and there's a reason for that - it's constantly innovating and expanding. And this year is no different - there will be a brand new Stadium 2, to be unveiled Saturday, March 1.

The new Stadium 2, which seats 8,000 people, will be unveiled with a special event that day - the McEnroe Challenge For Charity presented by Esurance - a one day event that features free admission. ATP World Tour legends John McEnroe and Jim Courier will play each other in singles, followed by McEnroe and Peter Fleming playing Courier and Rick Leach in doubles - each player and doubles team will represent a designated local charity, and all of the prize money earned - $40,000 for singles ($25,000 for the winner, $15,000 for the loser) and $40,000 for doubles ($25,000 for the winning team, $15,000 for the losing team) - will be donated to the charity the player or team represents.

"We are very excited to showcase our new site expansion, including the new Stadium 2, to our fans, sponsors, players and media with the McEnroe Challenge for Charity presented by Esurance," Steve Simon, the Tournament Director of the BNP Paribas Open, said about the announcement.

Since 2000, the BNP Paribas Open has been held at the state-of-the-art Indian Wells Tennis Garden, which features a 16,100-seat main stadium - the second-largest in the world. Among its many innovations are becoming the first event in the world to offer the Hawk-Eye challenge system on every match court in 2011 and the first ATP-WTA combined event to award $1 million in prize money to each of its singles champions in 2012. This year, Hawk-Eye will be added for the qualifying rounds.
