Bartoli's Official Send-Off In Paris

Marion Bartoli, who went out on the ultimate high after winning Wimbledon, was given a picturesque send-off at her home event. Have another look back at the shot that defined her career, too.

PARIS, France - Marion Bartoli, who announced her retirement from professional tennis last summer, received a picturesque send-off at her home event at the Open GDF SUEZ over the weekend.

After the final between Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova and Sara Errani an on-court presentation was held. Stacey Allaster, the Chairman & CEO of the WTA, gave a speech, followed by Bartoli herself giving a speech. The Frenchwoman was then given some gifts from the WTA and the tournament - flowers, a photo collage and video montage of her career highlights, and of course, an ovation from her fans.

Until Wimbledon last year, Bartoli already had a fantastic career - the Wimbledon final in 2007, seven WTA titles including Premier-level victories at Stanford in 2009 and Eastbourne in 2011, a career-high ranking of No.7 - but that magical run at the All-England Club last summer seemed to free her spirit, justifying decades of hard, hard work. Bartoli retired from the tour just two tournaments later.

Here's another look back at the shot that made all of the Frenchwoman's dreams come true...
