Robson Up For Nickelodeon Award
Laura Robson

Ever since she burst onto the scene by lifting the Wimbledon girls' singles title as a precocious 14-year-old, Laura Robson has been a firm favorite with the British public.

Her accomplishments as a professional, which have included an Olympic silver medal and fourth round runs at both Wimbledon and the US Open, have strengthened this relationship and also brought her several awards.

Another could soon follow after Robson was shortlisted for Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards.

Competing with her in the UK Favourite Sport Star category will be fellow Olympians Tom Daley and Nicola Adams and Formula One star Lewis Hamilton. Voting, which can be done either on the Nickelodeon website or using the hashtags #KCA #VoteLauraUK via Twitter, opened earlier this week and will close on March 29.

The winner will be revealed at the 27th staging of the awards, hosted by Oscar-nominated actor Mark Wahlberg on March 29.
