Every week on wtatennis.com we'll bring you 10 of the most important things to know - who's playing, where, ranking movers... this week the Road To Singapore goes through Stuttgart and Marrakech.
Seven Top 10 players are at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart. They are Agnieszka Radwanska, Simona Halep, Petra Kvitova, Angelique Kerber, Jelena Jankovic, Maria Sharapova and Dominika Cibulkova. Sara Errani, who has been as high as No.5, rounds out the Top 8 seeds.
Radwanska has been somewhat upset-prone as the No.1 seed at Premier-level events. This is the ninth time she has been seeded No.1 at a Premier-level event, and in four of the first eight times she has lost her opening match (the other four yielded two titles, another final and a quarterfinal).
Halep is playing her first WTA event since famously reaching No.5. Five weeks ago on March 17, Halep rose from No.7 to No.5, becoming the highest-ranked Romanian in WTA history - but she had to withdraw from Miami due to a toe injury and just made her return to action at Fed Cup this weekend.
Sharapova is trying to win a WTA event for the third time for the first time. The Russian has won the same WTA event twice a number of times, but if she were to win in Stuttgart this week, it would be the first WTA event she has conquered three times. She's also trying to win her milestone 30th WTA title this week - have a look back at Sharapova's first 29 WTA titles in this special gallery.
The field in Stuttgart is so packed that two former World No.1s are playing first round. Serbia's two leading ladies - Jankovic and Ana Ivanovic - were drawn against each other in the first round (Ivanovic leads Jankovic in their head-to-head, 8-3, though they are 1-1 head-to-head on red clay).
Daniela Hantuchova headlines at the Grand Prix de SAR La Princesse Lalla Meryem in Marrakech. The Slovak is seeded No.1 at a WTA event for the fourth time in her career (also Bali in 2008, Seoul in 2009 and Quebec City in 2011, reaching the semifinals, quarters and quarters).

* WTA Trivia answer: Sorana Cirstea is the only direct entrant into the main draw in Stuttgart who hasn't been in the Top 20 before. But she made it as high as No.21 in the world last summer, and with a whopping 13 career wins over Top 10 players, she's clearly destined for that Top 10 elite...
