ROME, Italy - Kveta Peschke and Katarina Srebotnik saw off Anabel Medina Garrigues and Yaroslava Shvedova at the Internazionali BNL d'Italia to reach their second final of 2014.

Following a spell apart, Peschke and Srebotnik, who established themselves as one of the WTA's leading teams between 2010 and 2012, reunited in the off-season. After a couple of early exits, the pair rediscovered some of their old spark at the Australian Open, where they reached the semifinals, before going on to make the final in Doha.

After an early slip up in Madrid, the two have really found their feet in the Italian capital and came through some tight moments before finally seeing off Medina Garrigues and Shvedova, 7-6(6), 6-4.

"It was obviously a very close match and it could have gone either way," Srebotnik said. "I think we all played really well and came up with some great shots and some great points between us.

"They had some chances and I think maybe one or two set points in the first set. We managed to win that one and then we got ahead in the second and maintained that right through to the end."

In 2010, Peschke and Srebotnik were runners-up at the French Open, and, regardless of the result in the final, they are happy with their form heading into this year's tournament.

"We reached the semis in Melbourne, so this is obviously very big too," Srebotnik added. "We're happy to have another good result and a good week, especially going into a Grand Slam - this will help for sure."

Facing them on Sunday, will be home favorites and No.2 seeds Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci, who reached their third successive final at the Foro Italico with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Julia Goerges and Anna-Lena Groenefeld.
