PARIS, France - No.7 seeds Ashleigh Barty and Casey Dellacqua advanced to the late stages of a Grand Slam once again with a defeat of Kristina Mladenovic and Flavia Pennetta in the third round of the French Open on Monday.

Barty and Dellacqua had been runners-up in three of the five Grand Slams they had contested before this fortnight and won their first two matches here in straight sets.

However, Barty and Dellacqua were pushed by the 12th-seeded Kristina Mladenovic and Flavia Pennetta but converted on six of eight break point chances en route to a 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 triumph.

Having won Strasbourg coming into Roland Garros, Barty and Dellacqua are now in the midst of a seven-match win streak. Their quarterfinal foes will be four-time Grand Slam champions Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci, who beat the Australians in the 2013 Australian Open final.

"Pumped to be into the quarterfinals of Roland Garros with Casey Dellacqua," Barty tweeted. "Big match tomorrow!"

Also moving on were No.4 seeds Kveta Peschke and Katarina Srebotnik. They made good on five of seven break point opportunities in their 6-3, 6-1 win over Kaia Kanepi and Alexandra Panova, setting up a clash with Garbiñe Muguruza and Carla Suárez Navarro. The Spaniards, who are also each into the singles quarterfinals and are on the same half of the draw, beat Peschke and Srebotnik in the second round of Madrid last month.

Finally, 16th-seeded Marina Erakovic and Arantxa Parra Santonja recorded a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Julie Coin and Pauline Parmentier.
