WTA Diary: SFs, Selfies & Sveta's Towel

The Big Match
Maria Sharapova and Eugenie Bouchard set up a mouthwatering French Open semifinal with comeback victories over Garbiñe Muguruza and Carla Suárez Navarro on Tuesday afternoon.

Bouchard was understandably emotional after digging herself out of a 4-1-shaped hole in the decider, but regained her composure soon enough to take a selfie with her post-match interviewer, Fabrice Santoro.

Petko's Plan
Andrea Petkovic has a close relationship with YouTube. But while the German's genre-spanning videos have proven a hit in the past, this fortnight her use of the social media channel has been strictly business.

"It was super tough, because I didn't know her at all. I just stalked her on YouTube yesterday the whole day, and I was already impressed," Petkovic said when asked how she prepared for her fourth round match with qualifier Kiki Bertens. "I saw her match against Ana in Australian Open, and I think she played super well. I think she's going to be a force on the WTA when she gets fitter and recovers from the injuries that she's had."

I Don't Feel Like Dancin'
Following her win over Bertens, Petkovic also revealed why the Petko dance is no more: she's old.

On Monday, there was pop royalty in the house at Roland Garros as Prince popped in to Suzanne Lenglen to catch some of Sara Errani against Jelena Jankovic.

It must be something of an ego boost for Svetlana Kuznetsova to know that her sweaty towels are such a sought-after commodity amongst tennis fans.
