PARIS, France - One thing the French Open is known for is surprises, and over the last few years some of the biggest surprises have taken place on the women's side, including a No.17 seed-Italian coming out of nowhere to make history and a Frenchwoman pulling off something that had never been done against one of the all-time greats, and the clear-cut greatest player of this era of women's tennis.

Both of them made Roland Garros' Top 5 list for biggest surprises in tournament history.
