PARIS, France - Mary Pierce made history at her home Grand Slam at the turn of the millennium, becoming the first Frenchwoman in the Open Era to win a Grand Slam title at Roland Garros. But days before making that history, she made a permanent mark on the highlight reels - in her quarterfinal match against Monica Seles, after overrunning a ball, she pulled off a winner for the ages.
