Roland Garros had a tremendous impact on the Road To Singapore leaderboard, the biggest storyline being Maria Sharapova rising to the top spot after her epic victory over Simona Halep in the final.

Sharapova went from No.4 to No.1 after capturing her third title of the season and the fifth Grand Slam title of her career.

Halep also gave herself a great chance of grabbing one of the eight spots available at the BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global, as her run to her first Grand Slam final lifted her from fifth to third place and very close to Li Na for second place.
