Ana Ivanovic's 14th WTA title and first on grass at the Aegon Classic improved her already good chances of securing one of the eight coveted spots at October's BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global.

With her biggest title since her 2008 French Open triumph, Ivanovic joined Maria Sharapova and Serena Williams as the only players with three WTA titles this season, having also been victorious in Auckland and Monterrey. The Serb's terrific year, which has also included a runner-up showing in Stuttgart and a semifinal outing in Rome, has seen her record a WTA-leading 37 match wins.
