LONDON, England - Ashleigh Barty and Casey Dellacqua beat Kimiko Date-Krumm and Barbora Zahlavova Strycova to secure entrance into the third round on a rainy Monday at Wimbledon.

Barty and Dellacqua converted on four of six break points compared to just one of eight for their opponents, and fired 10 winners compared to two for Date-Krumm and Zahlavova Strycova en route to a 6-4, 6-2 victory that improved them to 13-2 on the season.

Barty and Dellacqua have proven more adept on grass than any other surface. Their 14-2 grass court record includes the title at Birmingham last year, a runner-up showing at Wimbledon last year and a runner-up showing at Birmingham this year.

Next up for the sixth-seeded Australians are Anabel Medina Garrigues and Yaroslava Shvedova, who are coming off a 6-0, 6-0 defeat of Zarina Diyas and Patricia Mayr-Achleitner.

Also winning their second round matches were ninth-seeded Andrea Hlavackova and Zheng Jie and 10th-seeded Germans Julia Goerges and Anna-Lena Groenefeld.

"Good win today with Anna-Lena, but now it's all about soccer," Goerges tweeted prior to Germany's quarterfinal World Cup game against Algeria.

Goerges and Groenefeld's third round foes will be No.5 seeds Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina, who advanced by walkover.

Second round matches underway but suspended until Tuesday saw the Kichenok sisters up a set but down a break against second-seeded Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci, and seventh-seeded Raquel Kops-Jones and Abigail Spears on serve in the first set against Alizé Cornet and Caroline Garcia. One third round match got started, with Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova and Lucie Safarova up a set and on serve in the second set against Flavia Pennetta and Samantha Stosur.
