Stephens & Stosur Announce New Coaches

The weeks following Wimbledon are traditionally a time spent either resting weary limbs or limbering up for the North American hardcourt season. And judging by recent events, this lull in the tennis calendar is also a popular time to shake things up in the coaching department.
On Thursday, WTA Rising Star Sloane Stephens announced that she was parting company with Paul Annacone and bringing on board Maria Sharapova's former coach, Thomas Hogstedt. Barely 24 hours later, news emerged from Australia that Simon Rea would be accompanying 2011 US Open champion Samantha Stosur for her trip stateside.
Both players begin their preparation for Flushing Meadows next week, with Stosur heading to Stanford and Stephens to Washington.
