Azarenka Withdraws From Cincy

Victoria Azarenka announced today she's withdrawing from the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati, which is where she won her 17th - and most recent - WTA title exactly a year ago.

CINCINNATI, OH, USA - Victoria Azarenka has withdrawn from the Western & Southern Open due to a right knee injury, the former World No.1 and defending champion at the Premier-level event announced Tuesday.

Azarenka picked up the knee injury in her second round match last week at the Rogers Cup where she took a nasty tumble, but still powered through to the quarterfinals.

It was in Cincinnati last year where Azarenka won her most recent WTA title edging out World No.1 Serena Williams in a third set tiebreak putting on one of the best matches of 2013.
