Serena' Williams WTA-leading fifth title of the season at the Western & Southern Open triggered a rise on the Road To Singapore leaderboard.

Williams went into the week of July 28 in sixth place, so without a ton of breathing room in terms of being one of the eight players who will qualify for October's BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global.

However, that week she picked up 470 points by winning Stanford, and then the next week 350 points by reaching the semifinals of Montréal, and finally 900 points with her latest triumph in Cincinnati.
