WUHAN, China - Shortly after withdrawing from the Dongfeng Motor Wuhan Open with a foot injury, Victoria Azarenka had even sadder news for her many, many fans - she'll miss the rest of the year.

Azarenka had already been plagued by a variety of injuries all year, missing seven of her first 16 scheduled events due to various foot and knee injuries. Having come into 2014 as the clear cut World No.2 behind Serena Williams, she's now down at No.25 in the world, and is likely going to finish outside the Top 20 for the first time since 2007 (she finished that year ranked No.30 in the world).

She finished the last three years in the Top 3 - No.3 in 2011, No.1 in 2012 and No.2 in 2013.
