Hello everyone :-)
Well, my wedding with Marcos in the summer was incredible, but last month - Saturday, October 20, 2012 to be exact - I had the new happiest day of my life. My baby girl was born that day! She weighed 2960g and was 50cm long. The due date was actually October 28, so she was born a week early. That Saturday I went to my doctor in Zagreb for a check-up, and he told me I was having contractions and I had to stay in the hospital, and that I'd give birth that day!
Her name is Zahara Baghdatis. I chose the name - I've liked it for a long time and knew if we were having a girl, she was going to be named Zahara. It's the name of Angelina Jolie's daughter - Marcos really liked it too!
It's hard to find the words to describe this feeling - there are a lot of feelings in one. The moment I'll remember all my life, though, was the first time I saw her. Sometimes when I look at her now, I still can't believe she's my little girl.
Having a baby changes everything! At the moment I've forgotten the normal routines of life. We don't sleep a lot at the moment, but I hope that will change. We've developed new daily routines and they're similar from day to day...
Now I work for Zahara, 24/7 :-)
Oh and the day Zahara was born, because we didn't think she would be coming so soon, Marcos was actually playing a tournament that day - he had his semifinal at 12:00. He knew I had an appointment in Zagreb with my doctor, but I didn't tell him I was having contractions and that I had to stay in the hospital. The last time we talked was at 11:30am by SMS and I told him everything was okay - so when he finished his match, I was coming out of the operating room!!!
Below are some pictures of all of us too. Thank you for reading and for all of the kind words from everyone - we hope to see you all soon!!
Big kisses from all of us (including Zahara!)
