MATCH FACTS

Second seed Anastasija Sevastova lost her only previous match against Anna Blinkova, going down in three sets in Moscow last year.

Rebecca Peterson and Katerina Siniakova meet for only the second time, and their previous meeting was also in Bastad, the Swede winning in straight sets.

Rebecca Peterson seeks a second title of 2017, having previously triumphed in Padova, where she defeated Anastasiya Vasylyeva in a three-set final.

Sara Errani reached the quarterfinal as second seed in Bastad last year, losing to Russian qualifier Katerina Siniakova.

Johanna Larsson was the last home winner at the tournament, prevailing two years ago with victory over Mona Barthel in the final. The pair meet again in this year's first round.
