MATCH FACTS

Victory on Saturday would make Caroline Garcia the first French woman in the singles final at Bastad in five years, since Mathilde Johansson reached the 2012 final.

Caroline Wozniacki seeks to reach a second career final in Bastad. The Dane also reached the finale in 2009, where she was beaten by María José Martínez Sánchez.

Caroline Garcia has won two of the three previous meetings with Katerina Siniakova, triumphing in Limoges in 2015 and again at the US Open last year, both in three sets and both on hard courts. Siniakova won at Wimbledon inbetween.

Caroline Wozniacki and Elise Mertens are meeting for the first time.

The last top seed to reach the final in Bastad was Serena Williams, four years ago. The American went on to beat home favourite Johanna Larsson to win the title.
