MATCH POINTS

Kirsten Flipkens plays Kiki Bertens today - the pair met here last year as well, in the doubles final. The Belgian came out on top with her partner Dominika Cibulkova, 4-6, 6-4, 10-6, defeating the Dutch pair of Bertens and Demi Schuurs.

In their previous encounters, Flipkens leads the head-to-head 3-1 - but none of those matches have been on grass.

Flipkens has also had a good record here in singles, finishing as runner-up in 2013 to Simona Halep.

Second seed Elise Mertens takes on Germany's Antonia Lottner, a player she has never previously faced.

Nor has Alison Riske played qualifier Fanny Stollar - and eighth seed Aryna Sabalenka has not taken on Ajla Tomljanovic.
