Kristina Mladenovic has announced that she and compatriot Caroline Garcia have ended their doubles partnership.

In a statement on Twitter, she confirmed that the two would no longer be playing together, but added that she intends to continue her own doubles career with a new partner.

"We have had lots of success together and I will keep very good memories," Mladenovic wrote. "I would like to thank her and her team for the great work we accomplished together."

The pair won the French Open in 2016 and were runners-up at the US Open later in the year.

However, they made it only as far as the semifinal in the 2017 Australian Open, where they lost to Andrea Hlavackova and Peng Shuai.
