KEY FACTS

Caroline Wozniacki has won four of the five previous meetings with Karolina Pliskova.

The Czech, however, won their only final clash, prevailing in straight sets in Doha earlier this year.

Pliskova lost the Aegon International final last year, to Dominika Cibulkova, while Wozniacki hopes to repeat her success here from eight years ago, when she overcame Virgine Razzano.

Four of the last six finals have gone to three sets.

Wozniacki is yet to win a singles title this year, while Pliskova has two - succeeding in Brisbane as well as Doha.

The final winner will be the first Top 10 player to lift the title in Eastbourne in six years, since ninth seed Marion Bartoli prevailed in 2011.

The last Czech to win the title in Eastbourne was also the last woman to go on to win Wimbledon in the same year - Jana Novotna, in 1998.

This year's champion will record their 36th match win of 2017 in the final, drawing level with tour leaders Elina Svitolina and Kristina Mladenovic.
