MATCH POINTS

Eugenie Bouchard has won three of the previous five meetings with Alizé Cornet. The Canadian's triumph in Madrid last year followed 2014 wins in Wimbledon and Wuhan, whilst Cornet won the pair's first encounter, in Strasbourg in 2013, as well as in Hobart three years later.

Marketa Vondrousova and Mandy Minella have never previously met.

Mandy Minella is the only semifinalist with any previous experience of playing Gstaad - the Luxembourger reaching the last 16 in 2016.

Eugenie Bouchard is the only semifinalist to have dropped a set en route to making the last four this week, the 24-year-old taken the distance by Timea Bacsinszky in the first round.
