The dream of earning tour ranking points and winning major prizes was once reserved only for the pros. Now, tennis fans can experience the thrill of competition on the WTA Tour… without ever picking up a racquet.
WTA Fantasy Tennis gives you the opportunity to test your knowledge against friends, fellow fans and international tennis experts—while earning fantasy ranking points that could land you an exclusive VIP trip to a WTA tournament event.
The fantasy game for the 2018 season is called the Porsche Race to Singapore Challenge. It’s free to enter and it consists of two challenges, which run concurrently:
- The Season Challenge, where you select the eight players you believe will qualify for the 2018 BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global.
- The Tournament Challenge, where you pick six players (four starters and two back-ups) at 21 select Premier level WTA and Grand Slam events throughout the season.
In both challenges, you earn fantasy points equal to the WTA ranking points of your selected players. The better they do on court, the higher up the leaderboard you will climb.

THE SEASON CHALLENGE
The object of the Season Challenge is to accurately pick the eight players who will make the 2018 WTA Finals.
Here’s the tricky part: your chosen players will only start earning points when you ‘lock’ them in.
You can lock any player at any time—the sooner you do, the sooner you start racking up points equivalent to that player’s WTA ranking points. Once they have qualified for the 2018 WTA Finals, they will no longer be available for selection.
THE TOURNAMENT CHALLENGE
The biggest portion of your points tally in the Porsche Race to Singapore Challenge will likely come from the Tournament Challenge.
In the Tournament Challenge, fantasy players pick four starters and two alternates at 21 events in 2018.
Players can be selected two weeks before the start of any given tournament and changes can be made up until 15 minutes before the opening match.
Once the draw is complete, the player field will be updated to account for withdrawals and wild cards. Come back after each draw announcement to ensure your players are still poised for success. But if you forget, any starter (up to two) who has withdrawn will be replaced by your alternates.
The Tournament Challenge is divided into three swings, each of which will offer a prize.
SWING I (three tournaments)
The St. Petersburg Ladies Trophy, the Qatar Total Open, and the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships. The winner of Swing I will receive a trip to the 2018 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart.
SWING II (nine tournaments)
The BNP Paribas Open, the Miami Open, the Volvo Car Open, the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix, the Mutua Madrid Open, the Internazionali BNL d'Italia, Roland-Garros, Birmingham Classic, and Eastbourne International.
The winner of Swing II will receive a trip to the 2018 Connecticut Open in New Haven.
SWING III (nine tournaments) The Bay Area Classic, the Rogers Cup, the Western & Southern Open, the Connecticut Open, the US Open, the Toray Pan Pacific Open, the Wuhan Open, the China Open, and the VTB Kremlin Cup.
The winner of Swing III will receive a 2018 WTA Finals Prize Pack.
THE GRAND PRIZE
There is also a Grand Prize for the overall winner of the Porsche Race to Singapore Challenge: a VIP trip to 2019 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart.
The winner will be the best-performing fantasy player in the Season Challenge and Tournament Challenge combined.
LEADERBOARDS AND LEAGUES
The Porsche Race to Singapore Challenge hub features a leaderboard for the Tournament Challenge, where fantasy players can track their success in each swing. Players will also be able to set up leagues to challenge friends and other fans from all over the world.
Leagues can be public or private and there is no limit to their size.
There are no restrictions for age or country—anyone can play for free! However, to be eligible for the prizes, players must be over 18 and resident in one of the following countries: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Romania or Singapore.
