MATCH POINTS

Serena Williams has played Diyas twice before, both times on hard courts, and both times resulted in a straight-sets win for the American. One of their previous encounters was at Indian Wells, back in 2015, when Williams won 6-2, 6-0.

Azarenka and Watson have met five times before - and the Belarusian has emerged victorious in each. The Brit has got only one set off Azarenka - and that was at last year's Wimbledon.

Azarenka and Williams are both former BNP Paribas Open champions - and both have won the tournament twice, the Belarusian in 2012 and 2016, the American in 1999 and 2001.
