MADRID, Spain - Heading into the third Premier Mandatory tournament of the 2017 season, the Top 8 saw no movement on the Porsche Race to Singapore leaderboard, with Karolina Pliskova holding onto the top spot.

Just outside the Elite Eight is Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, who won her second title of the year at the Grand Prix de SAR La Princesse Lalla Meryem, ending the nine-match winning streak of former French Open champion Francesca Schiavone.

Pavlyuchenkova edged up to No.9 with a shot of moving up even further in the next few weeks in the hopes of making her debut at the BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global. The Russian was once a doubles alternate with then-partner Alla Kudryavtseva in 2015.

But speaking of Schiavone, the Italian broke into the Top 40 on the Porsche Race to Singapore leaderboard, moving up to No.37 after a title run at the Claro Open Colsanitas and finishing runner-up in Rabat.
