As the first Grand Slam of the year begins, there's plenty of movement in the rankings - with a sensational soar for a Sydney semifinalist, and a career high for the Hobart runner-up.
Here are some of this week's most notable rankings movers:
Mihaela Buzarnescu (+13, No.57 to No.44): The Hobart International runner-up breaks the Top 50 to reach a career high so far. En route to the final, where she lost to second seed Elise Mertens, she dispatched Lesia Tsurenko, Alison Riske, Anna-Lena Friedsam, and Alizé Cornet.
Catherine Bellis (+7, No.56 to No.49): The American reached the Round of 16 at the Brisbane International, where she lost to Karolina Pliskova, and made it through qualifiers in Sydney to reach the same stage there, where she fell to Agnieszka Radwanska.
Marketa Vondrousova (+4, No.66 to No.62): After a straight-sets win against Natalia Vikhlyantseva in Hobart, the Czech couldn't get past Donna Vekic in the Round of 16.
Heather Watson (+6, No.74 to No.68): The British No.2 lost in straight sets, 6-0, 6-3, to Anett Kontaveit after battling through three rounds of qualifying in Brisbane - and then enjoyed a terrific run to the semifinal in Hobart, including a win over third seed Sorana Cirstea in the Round of 32.
Camila Giorgi (+29, No.100 to No.71): The Italian enjoyed a spectacular run in Sydney, making her way through qualifying and then beating Sloane Stephens, Petra Kvitova, and Agnieszka Radwanska, before losing to Angelique Kerber in the semifinal.
