After an unexpected week of shocks at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, Elena Vesnina walked away with the title after defeating compatriot Svetlana Kuznetsova in the final.

The victory meant that Vesnina rocketed up 25 places from 31st to 6th and puts herself in the mix for the end of season showpiece early in the year.

"My singles game improved the last couple of years. I felt it," Vesnina told WTA Insider after her win. "I felt that in getting older, getting more mature, getting more calm on the court, I started realizing that I can do more. I can play better. I always knew I had the shots. My team and my coach were always saying to me, 'You have the shots, you have the game, you're such a complete player."

Vesnina's shock win impacts upon Britain's Johanna Konta, who drops out of the Top 8, dropping three places from 6th to 9th whilst finalist Kuznetsova jumps from 20th to 8th.

Here are the biggest moves on the Road To Singapore this week:

Elena Vesnina +25 (No.31 to No.6)
