SAN JOSÉ, CA, USA - Serena Williams, Maria Sharapova, and Victoria Azarenka have all been announced in the field for the Mubadala Silicon Valley Classic.

The event will take place between July 30 and August 5, 2018 at San José State University.

The trio of Grand Slam champions will be hoping to take the title from defending champion Madison Keys, who beat CoCo Vandeweghe 7-6 (4), 6-4 in last year's final.

Other stars scheduled to compete include 2016 winner Johanna Konta and Belgium's Elise Mertens, who has already won three events this year and climbed the rankings to a career high of World No.15.

The 2018 field will include a total of 141 WTA singles titles shared amongst 12 players, proving it will be both a competitive and high quality tournament.

The tournament will announce four additional wildcard players in the next couple of weeks – along with the four tournament qualifiers to round out the 28-player singles field.
