NEWPORT, RI, USA - Sugarpova and the International Tennis Hall Of Fame announced a new partnership, where Sugarpova is the new official sponsor and an underwriter of the Hall Of Fame's Kids Free program, which provides free admission for kids under the age of 16, every day all year.
"I am honored and thrilled to partner Sugarpova with the International Tennis Hall Of Fame & Museum, particularly in support of such an important program," Maria Sharapova said. "I was lucky to discover the game at a young age, and I hope that visiting the museum will inspire young people to see the opportunities in tennis and the potential that exists when someone commits oneself to a dream."
Sharapova, who holds the Career Grand Slam and is a former World No.1 too, is the founder and creative director of Sugarpova, a premium candy line that reflects her fun, fashionable and sweet side. And she has a special connection with the International Tennis Hall Of Fame & Museum - the apparel she wore when she completed her Career Grand Slam at the French Open are on display there.
"We are delighted and grateful to welcome Sugarpova as an official sponsor of the International Tennis Hall Of Fame & Museum," CEO Mark Stenning said of the news. "Maria is an extraordinary role model within the sport, and we appreciate her commitment toward our mission to inspire young people to get involved in tennis. The museum is an exciting place where families and children of all ages can explore the game's rich history in an educational and entertaining way. By offering free admission to children we hope they will be inspired by the game's traditions and become life-long players and fans."
Sugarpova candy will be featured in three retail stores on the Hall Of Fame property in Newport, and fans will have access to special offers throughout the year. For more on this news, please click here.
