Adidas stirred up the tennis fashion scene by announcing that the designer behind their US Open collection is none other than musician Pharrell Williams, who mixed the most iconic tennis looks from the '70s-era superstars with the latest technological breakthroughs in the sports apparel industry to create a stunning range of clothing, accessories, and footwear. The leitmotif are color-blocks paired with fully-fashioned, engineered knitwear that boasts surprising details.
During her title defense, Angelique Kerber will sport the V-neck adidas Pharrell NY Colorblock Dress and adidas adizero Ubersonic 3 Pharrell Shoes, while Simona Halep, Jelena Ostapenko, and other brand representatives will also promote items from the inline collection.
