The WTA has announced the launch of WTA Future Stars junior tournaments, featuring competition for young girls across Asia-Pacific with a vision to promote high-level athlete development, health, fitness and empowerment of women through the sport of tennis.

Each regional WTA Future Stars event will include competition at two levels - 14 and under and 16 and under - with tournaments set to take place in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Singapore and other regions across Asia-Pacific.
