DALIAN, China - WTA Rising Star Zheng Saisai pulled off a Dalian double on Sunday. Surviving fierce opposition in Israel's Julia Glushko, Zheng outlasted her unseeded opponent in a match that lasted just under three hours, 2-6, 6-1, 7-5. Hours later, the Chinesewoman reemerged with partner Zhang Kai-Lin to upset the top doubles seeds Darija Jurak and Chan Chin-Wei, 6-3, 6-4.

Top seed at this second WTA 125K Series event of 2015, Zheng takes home the biggest singles title of her career, and her second WTA 125K doubles title in 2015 (winning Nanchang with Chang Kai-Chen). In the midst of a breakout season, the 2010 Youth Olympic silver medalist began the year by reaching the semifinals of Shenzhen, where she lost to eventual champion and World No.2 Simona Halep; she also nabbed a second WTA doubles title with Xu Yi-Fan in Stanford earlier this summer.

With a win here, the 21-year-old will see her ranking edge ever closer back towards a career high of No.61, which she earned back in May.

Zheng next heads to Japan for the Japan Women's Open Tennis, where she will open against No.4 seed, Alison Riske.
