In August the WTA goes back to school for the New Haven Open at Yale. Held at the Connecticut Tennis Center at Yale University, this event is the penultimate Premier stop of the US Open Series before the final Grand Slam of the year at Flushing Meadows.
The 2011 singles winner was fan favorite Caroline Wozniacki, her fourth straight year as champion, making her the first player in nine years to win the same event four years running.
