Angelique Kerber and Tamira Paszek faced off for the first time in Saturday's AEGON International final.

This was Tamira Paszek's third title, having previously captured Portoroz in 2006 and Québec City in 2010.

Entering the week at No.59, Tamira Paszek became the lowest-ranked player to win a Premier title this year.

Liezel Huber and Lisa Raymond had to retire in the second set of the doubles final after Huber hurt her thigh.

Eastbourne was María José Martínez Sánchez and Nuria Llagostera Vives' 10th doubles title as a duo.
