The OEC Taipei WTA Ladies Open in Taipei is the first of the new stream of WTA $125 tournaments on the calendar.
Chan Yung-Jan and Chan Hao-Ching, one of several sister acts on the WTA, stepping out at the player party.
Belarusian No.2 Olga Govortsova arrived at the player party. The Belarusian No.1 is, of course, the World No.1.
Kimiko Date-Krumm at the player party. Date-Krumm is Japan's No.3 player, behind Ayumi Morita and Misaki Doi.
Peng Shuai, the No.1 seed at the inaugural OEC Taipei WTA Ladies Open, spoke on stage at the player party.
Japanese No.1 Ayumi Morita won a draw at the player party and was presented with a beautiful Citizen watch.
Chan Hao-Ching received the best dressed award at the player party, and was presented with a brand new iPad.
Hsu Wen-Hsin at the player party. Hsu would win her first round match against the best dressed, Chan Hao-Ching.
Chinese Taipei's Juan Ting-Fei and China's Wang Qiang also got lucky and won a draw for a brand new iPad each.
