The first quarterfinal of the day saw Li Na end Agnieszka Radwanska's perfect start, 75 63.

Meanwhile, Serena Williams and Victoria Azarenka's practice sessions were right next door.

Williams heads into her quarterfinal match having won 56 of her last 58 matches.

Azarenka will try to reverse a 3-4 head-to-head record against Svetlana Kuznetsova.

On the doubles court, Venus Williams served as she and Serena Williams played the No.1 team.

The Williams sisters led 63 53 but ended up losing to Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci in three.

Maria Sharapova won an all-Russian quarterfinal match against Ekaterina Makarova, 62 62.

Following her quarterfinal win, World No.6 Li Na tried her hand at some barbecueing.

Casey Dellacqua helped raise awareness for the '65km For Cystic Fibrosis' walk in March.

Dellacqua's passion for the cause comes from her cousin Kalia's battle with the disease.
