The first match of the day on Semifinal Thursday pit Maria Sharapova against Li Na.
Sharapova had won all three of their 2012 meetings, but this time just wasn't to be...
Li was on complete fire in the match, breaking in the first game and never looking back.
Li's 62 62 victory over Sharapova was her fifth career victory against a Top 2 player.
Li is through to her third Grand Slam final now - she is 1-1 in her first two, in 2011.
The second semifinal saw Sloane Stephens take on the World No.1, Victoria Azarenka.
Stephens fought off five match points but Azarenka would close it out a game later, 61 64.
Like Li, Azarenka is in her third Grand Slam final. and like Li she's 1-1 in the first two.
