It was a sentimental ending to the doubles tournament, with fan favorites Kimiko Date-Krumm and Casey Dellacqua winning the title. Maria Kirilenko lifted WTA hardware as well.

Maria Kirilenko was playing her 12th WTA final, an amazing seven of which have come in Asia.

Sabine Lisicki's last WTA final came at Dallas in 2011 - she changed that stat in Pattaya.

Kirilenko said after the final that her forehand and returns were the biggest keys to the win.

And win she did - the Russian made a late surge to beat Lisicki in a thriller, 57 61 76(1).

Kirilenko won her sixth WTA title but first since winning Estoril, Barcelona and Seoul in 2008.

Kirilenko also improved to 3-0 lifetime against Lisicki with the two-hour, 37-minute victory.

Kirilenko and Lisicki are both off to Fed Cup now - Russia plays Japan and Germany plays France.

Kimiko Date-Krumm won her fourth WTA doubles title while Casey Dellacqua won her very first.
