On Day 1 of Europe-Africa Group 1 play, the British team would defeat Bosnia-Herzegovina, 3-0.

Keothavong and Robson both won singles rubbers, while Robson and Konta won the doubles match.

The Brits' next tie will be on Friday against Portugal, led by Michelle Larcher de Brito.
