From the Spanish tandem of Lara Arruabarrena and Lourdes Domínguez Lino to Italy's Roberta Vinci, the BNP Paribas Katowice Open had some very talented champions in its first year.

The doubles final was first up on Center Court, featuring Valeria Solovyeva and Raluca Olaru.
Lourdes Domínguez Lino and Lara Arruabarrena had to come from behind in both sets in the final.
But the all-Spanish duo figured out a plan and went right to work, rallying for a 64 75 victory.

Spaniards Arruabarrena and Domínguez Lino won their first WTA doubles title as a partnership.
Domínguez Lino now has six WTA doubles titles to her name while Arruabarrena won her very first.
The singles final followed, with Petra Kvitova close to winning a tight 69-minute opening set.
But Roberta Vinci squeaked it out and then rolled in the second set to score a 76(2) 61 victory.
Vinci's win over the No.8-ranked Kvitova was her third Top 10 win of the year, and ninth overall.
Vinci now has eight WTA titles to her name and is closing in on the Top 10 - she is now No.12.
