Among the many off-court activities so far at the NÜRNBERGER Gastein Ladies was a meet and greet.
Yvonne Meusburger, Austria's No.1 player, met with kids, answered questions and signed autographs.
Meusburger is fresh off the finals of Budapest, where she finished runner-up to Simona Halep.
Apart from Budapest, she has reached the quarterfinals or better at WTA events six times - all here.
The NÜRNBERGER Gastein Ladies is currently in its seventh year as a stop on the WTA calendar.
Former Top 10 players Francesca Schiavone and Andrea Petkovic are among the former champions here.
This year the No.1 seed is one of the WTA's most promising young rising stars, Mona Barthel.
Petkovic, who won her first WTA title here in 2009, is also one of this year's biggest draws.
And the German was among the many people who took part in the official draw ceremony on the weekend.
The draw ceremony for the NÜRNBERGER Gastein Ladies took place on top of a mountain...
The green of surrounding forests and the white of the Alps range made for a perfect backdrop.
Bad Gastein is a spa town in Salzburg. "Bad" means "spa", reflecting its history as a health resort.
