Elina Svitolina beat Shahar Peer in the final of the Baku Cup, winning a tight two-setter, 64 64.
Peer, a former World No.11 who was down at No.149 coming in, bounced back to No.109 with the result.
But Svitolina made a more significant move on the rankings - No.71 to No.49, her career Top 50 debut.
The 18-year-old Svitolina is the first teen to win a WTA title since Timea Babos in February 2012.
The doubles title went to Oksana Kalashnikova, pictured on the left, and Irina Buryachok, right.
