The Claro Open Colsanitas had a dream final on its hands - first, Caroline Garcia made the final...
And then the No.1 seed - and former No.1 player in the world - Jelena Jankovic followed her there.
Jankovic had won both of the pair's previous meetings, but Garcia held match points both times...
And with some more experience and newfound confidence, this time Garcia was finally able to convert.
Garcia beat Jankovic in straight sets, 63 64, for the first Top 10 win of her blossoming career.
She also captured the first WTA title of her career - and in the first WTA final of her career, too.
By winning the doubles title the day before, Garcia also pulled off a rare singles-doubles sweep.
The last time anyone achieved that feat on the WTA was Serena Williams at the London Olympics in 2012.
