Began playing tennis at age 10 with her family...Prefers hard or grass courts...Father, Daniel, is a singer and musician; mother, Berta, is an administrator; has a younger brother, Aljaz...Most memorable experience was attending the Wimbledon awards ceremony in 1998, also attended by the Duke and Duchess of Kent, when she reached the junior doubles final...Likes Patrick Rafter's game...Favorite tournament is the US Open because of the fans...Likes to visit Virginia in the US because she has good friends there...Other sports interests are basketball, bowling, skiing and swimming...Favorites include the books Walk to Remember by Nicolas Spark and My Sergei by Ekaterina Gordeeva, the movie The Hurricane, her mother's cooking, lilies and the musical group Loan Star.

1998 - Won first pro title at ITF/Pamplona-ESP as world No. 219, did not drop a set in five matches, including her 62 76(3) d. of Froehlich in final; played in first Grand Slam qualifying at US Open
1999 - Won ITF/Montreal-CAN, dropping only one set in tournament
2000 - As world No. 190, qualified for Klagenfurt and won first main draw match against Zika before falling to Zvereva; after eight qualifying attempts (beginning in 1995), debuted on WTA Tour at Antwerp as a world No. 182 qualifier, l. to Torrens Valero 62 75 in 1r; reached first doubles final on WTA Tour at Antwerp w/Hopkins, upsetting the No. 1 and No. 4 seeds before falling in final
2002 - No. 4 seed, won first ITF title in three years at ITF/Tallahasee-USA; following week won doubles w/Webb at ITF/Gainesville-USA; playing for Slovenia in a Fed Cup World Group playoff versus Ukraine, lost a doubles match but Slovenia won the tie to advance to the World Group for the first time
2003 - Reached SF at ITF/Charlottesville-USA and doubles final w/Lee-Waters at ITF/Troy-USA.
