1998 - In 23 ITF Circuit starts, once as a qualifier and three times as a lucky loser, claimed first pro title (at Hechingen, Germany)

1999 - Attempted to qualify at four WTA Tour events, including first Grand Slam (US Open) and third German Open; l. 1r at each one; at 18 ITF Circuit events, once as a qualifier, reached one final
